What Remains of the Day- 71 Years After the End of World War II
 was names as Juror's Pick in the LensCulture Emerging Talent Awards 2016. The project was also highlighted on LensCulture on January 28, 2017 - Holocaust Remembrance Day.


Basement Sanctuaries is on view as part of "Living in the Shadows: Underground Immigrant Communities" at the Center for Women in the Arts and Humanities at Rutgers University from January 17 through April 7, 2017. An artist talk is scheduled for March 1, 2017 at 5 pm.



Recent Exhibitions

Oppressive Architecture will be exhibited at the Contemporary Art Museum Raleigh, Raleigh, NC from September 2 through December 4, 2016. 
Oppressive Architecture
will be exhibited at the Schwerbelastungskoerper (Heavy Load-Bearing Body) in Berlin from June 23 through October 30, 2016. The exhibition open takes places on June 23 at 6 pm. Exhibition flyer.

Plantation Still Lifes will be exhibited at the Horace Williams House in Chapel Hill, NC from October 1 - 25, 2016.

Works from my residency at Artspace in 2015 will be exhibited at Artspace, Raleigh, NC from November 4 - 26, 2016.

Recent Publications

The slave cabins from the "Oppressive Architecture" were published in Musee Magazine's Issue No. 15, 2016.

"Oppressive Architecture" was reviewed in the article "Schwere Hinterlassenschaft" by Tom Mustroph in taz. die tageszeitung on August 11, 2016.

Basement Sanctuaries was published in The Guardian on December 14, 2015 and highlighted in The Guardian article "Are 'cuddlers for hire' a new sign that city life makes us lonely?" on December 4, 2015, published in uncube magazine with an interview by editor Fiona Shipwright, and in the Women's Issue of Musee Magazine.

 

Elizabeth Avedon wrote a wonderful piece about all the photographers she met at the New York Times Portfolio Review including myself that was published in L'Oeil de la Photographie
